A name for the group

What we call ourselves. Pick the one that feels like us, or offer your own.

Rainlight CircleRain on your face, and the white light that comes through it. A circle is the shape we make in the room, and the shape the practicals make when they land for everyone at once. The name says the weather we study in and the people we study with. Silver UnderstoryThe understory is what grows beneath the canopy, in the shade of older trees, lit from above. We are students under a school that has been doing this for decades, and most of the growing happens quietly, close to the ground. Silver is the light that reaches it. Pale TideThe moon pulling water in and out, on a rhythm nobody has to enforce. We meet on a cadence and let each practical settle before the next, so the timing is part of the practice. Pale is the moon's own colour on the water. Moonlit GroveA stand of trees with the moon coming through it, which is close to what we are: a small group under a bigger canopy, lit from above at night. It carries the first group's name forward without repeating it. Moon GlowThe soft light that is there whether or not you look up. Moonglow was the name of the network at the house before it was the name of anything else.

The commitment

We move together. Everyone does the same readings, listens to the same talks and does the homework each week, so that when we sit down for a practical it lands for all of us at once. That is the whole reason to do this in a group rather than alone, and it's the one thing we ask of each other.
